History of corrected bugs:

  Internal Revision 1.15
  Compatibility problem with non-English versions of MS-Windows
    Description: Program crashes after clicking the OK button in the Load screen
Reason: DemoTools does not run when the decimal symbol is set to "," (as is, for instance, the default in the German version of MS-Windows). The decimal symbol must be "." (a dot).
Action
: Was corrected in internal revision 1.16
Seriousness: High
Upgrade: available for users who work with non-English versions of Windows
Comment: If you have a German version of Windows (or if you use a "," as the default decimal symbol for some other reason) you must change the decimal symbol to "." (dot). You can easily do this in the Control Panel (Start / Settings / Control Panel / Regional Options). In the Regional Options menu set the "Locale" to some English version of the operating system, such as: "English (United States)".
Don't forget to set the decimal symbol back to its original value, after you have finished working with DemoTools.
Attention: This problem affects only users with a non-English version of Windows.

  Internal Revision 1.14
  I/O Error, when (central) death rate at age 0-4 is reduced below 0.0001
    Description: Error appears only in age group 0-4 when the value is smaller than 0.0001
Reason: Rounding problem
Action: Was corrected in internal revision 1.15
Seriousness: Low
Upgrade: not necessary; not available
Comment: Death rates at this age are much higher than 0.0001

  Internal Revision 1.13
  Tables with calibration values (in Modify screen)
    Description: Years appear instead of age group labels in column 1
Reason: Field 5 and 6 had been mixed up in all ...ErrPat.csv files and the ErrPat.sch file
Action: Was corrected in internal revision 1.14
Seriousness: Low
Upgrade: not necessary; not available

The correct file header should be as below:
[ErrPat]
FILETYPE=VARYING
CHARSET=ascii
DELIMITER="
SEPARATOR=,
FIELD1=LocID,NUMBER,4,0,0
FIELD2=VarID,NUMBER,4,0,4
FIELD3=TimeRef,NUMBER,4,0,8
FIELD4=AgeRef,NUMBER,4,0,12
FIELD5=TimeLabel,CHAR,10,0,26
FIELD6=AgeLabel,CHAR,10,0,16

FIELD7=ErrMale,FLOAT,14,3,36
FIELD8=ErrFemale,FLOAT,14,3,50
[EOH]
If a user of revision 1.13 wants to eliminate the error him/herself, he/she must correct the file headers in all ErrPat files.
