What are the limitations for major parameters?    
       
  Below is a list of technical limitations for the main projection parameters. 

Population: 100 billion
Fertility rates: 0.0001 - 0.9999
Mortality rates: 0.0001 - 0.9999
Net-migration: 10 billion
Last Projection Year: 2315

Please be aware, that these are only internal limitations of the program code. They might or might not be reasonable in demographic terms! You are responsible yourself to choose parameter values which make sense from a demographic point of view. 
Fortunately, the DemoTools software includes complete sets of "reasonable" base data and input variables for 188 countries and 30 regions. We have compiled and reconstructed these default input data from the published data sets of the 1998 United Nations World Population prospects.
