Despite the impressive growth of the
Internet in China, the country is still below the world average in
network readiness, as indicated by the latest revision of the
Networked Readiness Index. Top places in the index are held by
European countries - particularly countries of Northern Europe. The
United States of America has fallen back in networked readiness to
rank 6 - behind four European countries and Singapore.
