China's civil society
seems to have the greatest organizational capacity in the provinces of
Zhejiang, Qinghai, Fujian, Tianjin, Beijing and Shanghai - as
indicated by the number of NGOs per 100,000 of the population.
Guizhou, Henan and Anhui, on the other hand, have the lowest number of
NGOs per 100,000 of the population. NGO density in Guizhou is less
than one third that of Zhejiang. |
