This satellite image displays the Huangpu
district of Shangai, with its main shopping centers, the "Bund" on the
Huangpu river, and the Pudong New Area (accross the river) with the
famous TV tower. You can recognize the TV tower (Oriental Pearl Tower)
on its long shadow pointing north-west. On the right border of the image you can also see the imposing Jinmao Tower - a stunning piece of modern architecture and currently the tallest building in China (420.5 m) (see also the next image). |
